We are aware that ASH106KVM is currently experiencing connectivity issues.
We are currently looking into this node further and will provide additional updates on this matter once we have more information.
UPDATE: We are aware of and apologize for the recent issues with the ASH106KVM host node. We have identified the recurring issues to be related to a failing/degrading RAID controller, and are working with the remote hands team in Ashburn to replace the RAID controller on this server physically. The drives themselves appear to be healthy.
As physical intervention is required, we ask for your patience and greatly appreciate it. We will update this incident once the RAID controller replacement has been completed.
UPDATE 9:00 AM PST:
We are still awaiting a response from Equinix remote hands. In the meantime, the server has been brought back online to maintain availability while we coordinate the physical RAID controller replacement.
Once the VPS's on this node are offline again, that will indicate that on-site technicians are actively performing the hardware work. We are intentionally keeping the node online whenever possible to minimize overall downtime and reduce impact while we wait for the replacement to be completed.
We will continue to provide updates as soon as remote hands are on-site and the controller swap is underway.
UPDATE 9:50 AM PST:
This is actively being worked on. We will share additional updates once available.
UPDATE 10:14 AM PST:
The RAID controller replacement has now been completed and the node has been brought back online.
At this time, VM's hosted on ASH106KVM should be stable. We will be closely monitoring the node to ensure performance and reliability remain consistent following the RAID controller swap.
If any further issues occur, we are prepared to migrate the VPS's hosted on this node to another healthy hypervisor to minimize impact. Our expectation is that today’s hardware replacement resolves the underlying issue, but we have contingency plans ready if needed.
We will continue monitoring and will update this incident (or open a new status notice) if anything further is observed. So far, everything is looking good.
