Our New York Datacenter facility, located at 325 Delaware Avenue, is experiencing a temperature rise event. The period of elevated temperatures began during the afternoon of June 18 and was the result of historically high record-breaking temperatures in the region. The extremely high outdoor temperatures resulted in a capacity reduction of the facility's cooling platform as air conditioning heat rejection systems become less efficient during times of exceptionally high ambient temperatures. This condition, joined with two other air conditioners experiencing faults, has resulted in temperatures rising further inside the datacenter space.
Our datacenter personnel and the facility management team are onsite addressing the situation. External mechanical contractors are scheduled to arrive soon to further aid in the resolution.
Not all areas of the facility are impacted, and the majority of customer devices remain online and uninterrupted despite this event. As of right now, we only have two physical hypervisors that are actually offline and those are being looked into.
We continue to work diligently to fully solve the temperature rise event and appreciate the patience of those impacted.
Further updates to follow as soon as possible.
UPDATE: This is now resolved. If you are still experiencing any issues please open a support ticket and we'd be happy to assist.
