The region where our New York datacenter is physically located has experienced a city-wide power incident, impacting all structures in the downtown vicinity. This has resulted in no service disruptions, as our facility has seamlessly moved us over to generator power. Our teams are working together to monitor the issues and restore power services to normal as quickly as possible.
While we don't foresee any actual service interruption at this time, the risk of temporary power fluctuations cannot be completely ruled out. We will provide any further updates to this status incident as they become available.
UPDATE: Great news! As of 8:30PM EST, the New York datacenter facility was successfully transferred off of generator power and back to the primary utility power. After close monitoring and several secondary checks, we can safely say that the power incident has concluded. We saw no customer impacts and everything was functional as expected.
